There are plenty of good ski conditions and weather resources the Web. We've put some of the ones which are "Michigan-specific" on this page.

Weather

Weather Michigan is the ultimate Michigan internet weather site. A very comprehensive site that is continually updated. Go here first for storm updates and great forecasts.
One of the best online weather pages in all of Michigan is at TV 7&4 out of Traverse City. Its "Storm Team Weather" page has everything a skier needs: clickable radars, live cam shots from cities all over the state, weather calculators, and links to all the National Weather Service offices around the state.
Since many of you will be heading into northwest lower Michigan, here is the weather page of TV 9 & 10 out of Cadillac and Sault Ste. Marie. Covers everything from Midland north. It's specialty is Doppler Radar, some at street level. The site is updated every three hours.
Intellicast has about the best look at Michigan Radar. You'll see a very nice map of the state with all the precipitation patterns.
Intellicast also has a huge SKIcast with conditions and weather. Part of that is weather imagery with SNOWcast, which includes graphics on temperatures, snow cover, wind chill, a storm tracker and more.
For the "big picture," go to the Skier's Forcast from the Weather Channel. While you're there, look at the "Customize your Homepage" option in the top left corner. This allows you to set up your own personal weather home page.
You might also want to check the roads before going skiing. The Michigan State Police Weather & Highway  website gives trouble spots, weather alerts, construction delays, and a lot of travel and recreation information. You can also call the MSP Winter Travel Hotline at 1-800-381-8477. Another information source about roads and travel is the Michigan Department of Transportation website. AAA also has road information at 1-800-222.6424.
And if you're just plain interested in lake effect snow, check out the lake effect page of the National Weather Service in Gaylord or USA Today's Lake Effect page.

Ski Conditions

For Michigan Ski Conditions you can't beat the Weather Underground from the University of Michigan. This is the best chart of Michigan resorts on the Web.
Also from the Weather Underground is a list of snowfall depths from around the state. This is not really a cross country trail report, but it does show where the snow is.
For Cross Country and Snowboard conditions, OnTheSnow is one of the best. They also feature an Ski-Mail service that e-mails you customized ski reports.
To have a personalized snow report sent to your e-mail (every day if you like), subscribe to Real Conditions -- it's free!
